How Merryfold products are made
Every product on this page is printed to order. When you buy, the file goes to the print partner closest to your delivery address — North America, Europe, Australia or Asia — and it is made there. Nothing sits in a warehouse, and nothing is air-freighted from our studio in India.
The artwork comes from two places. Our own line-art families are drawn in Dehradun and grouped by motif, so a pattern you like on a tee can be found on a pillow cover, a phone case, a print and the colouring book it was drawn for. The reproductions are public-domain works held by museums that publish open-access images; every one of them credits the holding museum and its licence, on the product page and on the painting's own page at merryfold.art.
Prints are on 240 gsm cotton rag or 200 gsm satin poster stock. Apparel is combed ring-spun cotton with water-based direct-to-garment ink. Homeware varies by item and the specification is on each product page rather than summarised here, because a duvet and a mug have nothing in common.
